Our instructors are specially selected and trained to safely bring out the best in each child by encouraging them to exceed their perceived limitation. What is your favorite event to teach, and why?: I like teaching floor because it was my favorite event as a gymnast!

 What makes you happy?: Hiking and sleeping!

How would you define the way you coach: I try to be uplifting and fun but also reasonable and disciplined.

 What do you like to do for fun?: I love to hike and hang out with friends!

 What’s a fun fact about you that not many people know?: I am a vegetarian

 Explain why you love gymnastics and how it has influenced your life:  Gymnastics is so fun to me because you can actually see developments in an athlete when they act their skill.  Gymnastics taught me focus, discipline and the importance of believing in yourself.

How would you define the way you coach: Philosophical

 What do you like to do for fun?: Make music

 What’s a fun fact about you that not many people know?: I am a DJ!

 Explain why you love gymnastics and how it has influenced your life: Gymnastics is a beautiful combination of many beautiful things!

Were you a gymnast yourself? Yes

If so, for how long?:  Since I was 8.

What level were you when you retired?: Class 2 (Back before the 1-10 levels)

How long have you coached gymnastics?: Since 1996. Yes, I am old!

What is your favorite event to teach, and why?: Bars.  Just watch the Olympics and tell me they don't do the coolest tricks!

 What makes you happy?: Smiles.  When someone smiles you can't help but smile.  Also kids, the crazy stories they come up with!

How would you define the way you coach: I like to be strict at first until the class knows what you can and cannot do.  The I like to let loose and have fun!

 What do you like to do for fun?: Handstands, trampoline, rope swings, teeterboard, Russian swing, skydive and cliff jumping.

 What’s a fun fact about you that not many people know?: I went and graduated from stunt school when I was 21.  I have been shot, set on fire, fell down a flight of stairs, fell off a building and fell off a running horse... All on purpose.

 Explain why you love gymnastics and how it has influenced your life: Gymnastics is the only sport that teaches so many fundamentals, not only in the sport but in life as well.  Gymnastics has saved my life many, many times.  I competed in Streeboard World Championships from 2000-2007.  Understanding training and progression, air awareness and practice helped push me farther and faster than most other competitors.  Knowing how to flip and spin kept me from landing on my head.

What is your favorite event to teach, and why?: Bars.  There is a huge variety of skills and requires me to be more hands on!

 What makes you happy?: Running and spending time with my family and dog!

How would you define the way you coach: Strict and loving!

 What’s a fun fact about you that not many people know?: I am adopted!

 Explain why you love gymnastics and how it has influenced your life: Gymnastics constantly pushes you to a place you didn't think you could get to.  It teaches determination and how to overcome fear.  I continue to use the life lessons I was taught in gymnastics.

What is your favorite event to teach, and why?: Floor. It was my favorite event as a gymnast!

How would you define the way you coach: I try to make my corrections as simple as possible.  I also try to make it fun but educational at the same time.

 What’s a fun fact about you that not many people know?: My back is very flexible! I can practically bend in half backwards!

 Explain why you love gymnastics and how it has influenced your life: Gymnastics allows me to learn something new everyday.  You find more things about yourself that you didn't know or that you could do! It's taught me how to be responsible and how to manage my time properly.

What is your favorite event to teach, and why?: Beam.  It requires a lot of bravery and I enjoy watching gymnasts overcome that!
